Directness EDC Gear and Knife Reviews Update

So, just to let you know what is happening with the Directness website. Some of you may already know that I’m an Australian guy who is currently in Istanbul, Turkey. I came here for a month or so break and I’m still here more than 12 months later. Which means I haven’t been buying many new knives and I haven’t been doing many reviews.

That will change soon as my visa expires in March and my bank account is bone dry. So I’ll be heading back to Australia in the very near future and I’ll start taking this knife review site much more seriously. There’s so many cool new knives that have been released in the past 12 months that I need to check out. There’s also some really cool looking new knives coming our from Spyderco and Zero Tolerance in 2020.

Until then, I have started a new section on the website. It’s a Quotes section with quotations from knife industry people, outdoors people, martial artists, sportsmen, watch industry people and other notable people related to knives, the outdoors, EDC gear, collecting, martial arts, maybe sports, and more. Mostly man related topics. Things that interest men.

So far I have added the custom knife maker and knife industry champion Ken Onion, outdoorsman Bear Grylls, Cold Steel front man Lynn Thompson, and Spyderco founder Sal Glesser and his son Eric Glesser. I’ll be adding more everyday at the Notable People section here. Who else do you think I should add to the list?

I’ve always liked quotes as they’re as they’re a quick and easy way to see how the author ticks. But I’ve never seen a quote collection online focused on man things. Quotes about knives and camping and martial arts, etc. So I thought I would make a collection of man quotes!

I’ll work on them a little bit everyday for the next month and then see if people like them or not. Maybe I’m the only man on the planet who wants quotes about man related things. Either way it’ll be a good way for me to learn more about the people in the knife industry. I hope you like them too though. I’m calling them Life Quotes. I was going to call them Man Quotes but thought it might be a little too niche and specific. Women like knives and camping too, right? Don’t they? 😬

Let me know in the comments below who I should add next. Famous knife makers, MMA fighters, military leaders, sports people? Bruce Lee? 💪 I definitely won’t be adding politicians though. Inspiring people, people that have done something interesting with their life. These are the people I want to focus on.
