Everyday Carry

Everyday carry photographsEveryday carry or EDC as it's often referred to shows the gear carried daily for work, fun, outdoors, or urban adventures. Some people work on refining their EDC gear to create the perfect balance of items for their lifestyle, only adding or taking away from it when something better comes along. But others will change their everyday carry like they do clothes, wearing or carrying depending on how they feel on the day.

I'm probably somewhere in the middle as I have a few EDC gear favorites but I'm also always changing things up. I like to try new gear, new brands, new designs, and new materials. I have a constant flow of gear coming and going so I'm always playing around with my lineup.

A typical range of everyday carry items will include folding knives, pens, note books, fixed blade knives, multitools, watches, mobile phones, tablets, handkerchiefs, flashlights, and much more. It's up to the individual and their lifestyle.

What are you carrying today?

Blue EDC with Kizer, Rike, CRKT and G-Shock GA 2100

It was cold, wet and overcast today so I decided to fill my pockets with blue to match the weather. I quickly realized that I don't have very much blue in my arsenal of everyday carry goodies. I managed to come up with a couple of blue folders but no blue pens, watches, multitools or wallets. Do you have much blue gear in your EDC collection? Most of my knives have either … [Read more...] about Blue EDC with Kizer, Rike, CRKT and G-Shock GA 2100

All Black EDC with a Casio G-Shock GA-2100-1A Watch

November 26, 2019 by directness Leave a Comment

I'm still in Istanbul, Turkey so my EDC gear is pretty limited as it's all back home in Australia, but I did buy a new watch this week. I picked up the new Casio G-Shock GA-2100-1A. I was looking for the all black model (GA-2100-1A1) but couldn't get hold of one. I'm glad I didn't now though as the white accents have really grown on me. It adds a little class to a rugged … [Read more...] about All Black EDC with a Casio G-Shock GA-2100-1A Watch

Everyday Carry Pocket Dump Pop: Zero Tolerance, Boker Plus, Apple iPad & Streamlight

October 6, 2019 by directness Leave a Comment

Today's pop art inspired EDC pocket dump is a little bit funky. I was playing around with colors using Photoshop and added some blue and yellow. I kept the everyday carry gear untouched so it can still be seen properly but I went nuts on the background. What do you think? I'm still here in Istanbul, Turkey so my EDC gear is minimal to say the least. I really didn't want to … [Read more...] about Everyday Carry Pocket Dump Pop: Zero Tolerance, Boker Plus, Apple iPad & Streamlight

Brown Everyday Carry

The theme for my everyday carry this week is the color Brown! I couldn't stick with the theme completely as I don't have a brown flashlight or pen with me. As some of you might know I'm an Australian guy who has been here in Istanbul, Turkey for the year. So I don't have much EDC gear with me. I believe the knife laws are similar here to those in Australia (very … [Read more...] about Brown Everyday Carry: Tops Knives, Streamlight, Boker Plus, and Handmade Leather

Everyday Carry for the Week: Spyderco, Streamlight & Fisher Space Pen

Orange Everyday Carry

This week's Everyday carry theme is the color Orange! I've really had a thing for all things orange over the past six months or so. I'm thinking of it as my Vitamin C period. I like it more as an accent color as it's such a strong color, so I wouldn't buy an all orange hoodie or an orange car but I would buy them with orange accents. Starting from the top, it's my Samsung … [Read more...] about Everyday Carry for the Week: Spyderco, Streamlight & Fisher Space Pen

Everyday carry Monday

Everyday carry equipment for the start of the week is all about brutality as we need to attack this week. Which means you'll need a belt to hold these suckers up if you're carrying them in your pockets! Starting with the ridiculously large (awesome) Cold Steel XL Voyager with a clip point blade. If you don't like the Extra Large range of Cold Steel pocket knives then you … [Read more...] about EDC Monday: Cold Steel, MecArmy, ZT & Spyderco
