The Google Search Engine is the most popular search engine on the internet. Started by two Stanford University students Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Google grew rapidly in popularity, while improving their search algorithms, and expanding their products and services. Google went public and was listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Google's primary source of income is from selling textual advertising on its own search results and thousands of partnering websites displaying their ads.

  Google is currently the Internet god, but they have a lot of cashed up and clever competition snapping at their heals. Bill Gates is pacing the Microsoft corridors thinking about how to dominate the search industry, while Google keeps gathering an arsenal of weapons to keep its lead.
  Google will do well if it remembers how it got to where it is now.. (through webmasters spreading the word and by giving searchers a simple search page spitting out targeted results).
  The sharks are circling, but Google still gives the best results.
